Shoutout to the guy who told me to remap my controller buttons for fighting games

I kept losing matches in Street Fighter 6 because my thumb couldn't hit the heavy punch fast enough on the default layout. After three frustrating nights, I swapped the heavy and medium buttons around and suddenly my combos landed clean. Has anyone else found a weird button swap that fixed a specific problem for them?

Heavy punch speed huh, did you have to retrain your muscle memory for the whole game after that swap?

Whoa hold on, wait wait wait. So you actually had to unlearn and relearn all your timing and muscle memory from scratch? That's insane to me, I can't even imagine how frustrating that must have been for a while. Like I barely have enough brain space to remember which button does what without messing it up, so having to completely rewire your brain for something so basic sounds like an absolute nightmare. Props to you for sticking with it though, because I would have probably just given up and switched characters entirely.
