Tried using a pro Xbox controller for a week straight and my aim got worse somehow
Honestly, I saved up like $150 for a shiny new Xbox Elite controller with all the paddles and triggers. Ngl, I thought I'd instantly hit diamond rank in Apex Legends. But after a week of tweaking the back paddles and messing with the stick tension, I kept accidentally jumping into walls and throwing grenades at my own feet. My buddy Phil asked me why I was suddenly playing like a potato, and I had no good answer. I learned that fancy gear doesn't fix bad habits, it just gives you more buttons to mess up. Has anyone else wasted cash on a pro controller and ended up worse than before?

Swapped to a Razer Wolverine and my K/D dropped like a rock for two weeks. All those extra buttons just got my thumbs confused. Sold it on Craigslist and went back to a standard controller, instantly played better. Fancy gear is a trap when you muscle memory is already set.

Right? Muscle memory is a beast, switching back was the smart play.
