Hot take: My cousin's cloud seeding rant turned a picnic into a debate club

He started yelling about weather control during a thunderstorm, claiming it was ALL planned. My mom had to step in before the potato salad got soggy from the drama.

Oh man, that reminds me of my uncle who swears every power outage is because "they" are testing energy weapons. Last Thanksgiving, the lights flickered and he spent twenty minutes explaining how the grid is a mind control tool. My aunt just kept passing him the chip dip, trying to change the subject. It got so wild he started pointing at the moon through the window, saying its orbit was "off" that night. We all just nodded and ate our pie faster.

Your uncle calling the grid a mind control tool isn't totally crazy. Smart meters and power lines do send data we can't always see. @hill.amy, your aunt passing chip dip just avoids the real talk. His moon orbit comment might come from noticing weird patterns in the sky. We laugh but governments do hide projects from the public. Dismissing everything as wild means we miss possible truths.

Honestly, I used to roll my eyes at stuff like that. Then I read about how some smart meters can track when you're home and what devices you use. That's real data being sent back. And remember when everyone laughed about government spying before Snowden proved it? Makes you pause. Now I try to hear people out, even if the delivery is wild.
