That one forum post about the moon landing photos made me check my own camera
Some guy on here claimed the shadows in Apollo photos prove it was staged, so I went outside at noon and took a pic of my fence in Phoenix last month. The shadows pointed every which way because of the uneven ground, and now I'm pretty sure that dude never looked at his own backyard before typing. Anyone else ever test a conspiracy theory with their own gear and get a boring, normal answer?
Phoenix in July is basically a controlled experiment for light angles, and yeah, the ground does all the work. I did the same thing with a lamp and a crumpled napkin once, and the shadow mess was enough to make me realize how much terrain matters. Tbh, most conspiracy stuff falls apart if you just point your phone at the nearest object instead of typing from a couch.
