The guy who told me to stop buying 4K cameras was right
Back in 2019, some retiree at a job in Austin told me 4K was a waste for my kind of work, mostly event video. I blew him off, dropped $3,800 on a fancy rig. Two years later I checked my actual delivery records and 90% of clients only ever asked for 1080p. He saw the trend before I did. Anyone else ignore an old timer's advice and regret the wallet hit?

What did the guy actually say back then, like did he get into specifics about why 4K was a waste? I'm curious if he meant the sensor was overkill or more that the file sizes and edit time would kill you on quick turnaround jobs. That $3,800 stings, but the part about delivery records is what gets me. How far back did you go when you checked, just those two years or the whole history?
