My finish failed after skipping primer, big oops
I learned the hard way that primer matters (whoops, right?). What's your go-to trick for a paint job that actually lasts?

Honestly, primer is NOT some magic bullet for every single project. I've skipped it on fresh drywall with good paint and had zero problems years later. The big deal is mostly about sealing stains or painting over glossy stuff.
