Swapped from corded to battery nailers last spring and im not going back
I used to run a 50-foot extension cord just to frame a single wall in my garage. After tripping over it four times in one afternoon, I grabbed a DeWalt 20v brad nailer and finished the same job in half the time. Has anyone else found cordless tools actually worth the extra cost long term?

My neighbor laughed at me when I bought a Milwaukee 18 gauge cordless finish nailer. Told me I wasted $400. Then we did his basement stairs together. He was untangling cords every five minutes while I just kept shooting. His face went quiet real quick. The real kicker is battery life. Everyone complains about it but my 5.0Ah battery runs through two full cases of nails before dying. Cordless also means I can nail up crown molding alone without some helper holding a cord over my shoulder. Never going back to tripping over cords or hunting for outlets.

Man @jamieperez is living the dream with that Milwaukee. My neighbor still drags his corded nailer around like it's some kind of badge of honor. Dude spent more time untangling his extension cord last weekend than I did nailing up the whole new baseboard in my den. I told him he could borrow my spare battery but he just grunted and kept fighting the cord. Guess some people just like the struggle.
