Client in Miami asked for a rose gold balayage and I had to refuse for the first time
Her hair was so over-processed from box dye that doing another lightener session would've snapped it off at the scalp, so I offered a shadow root instead and she told me "everyone else tries it anyway," has anyone else hit a hard no on a client and dealt with the fallout?
Oh man, been there and it sucks. What worked for me was pulling up a strand test right in front of them so they could see it stretch and snap, then I wrote down exactly what I would and would not do and had them initial it. If she still walks, she walks, but at least you covered yourself and the right client will respect you for it.
