Crushed my busiest Saturday ever last week and actually kept my cool

I had 6 clients back to back at the salon in Oak Park last Saturday with no breaks in between, and I thought I'd be a wreck by 5pm. But I actually managed to stay calm through each haircut and color job, even when a toner went way too dark on my third appointment. Anyone else have a day where you surprised yourself with how well you handled the chaos?

You said you "kept your cool" but to be honest, handling a toner disaster sounds less like staying calm and more like you were just too tired to freak out. That color mistake must've been stressful for your client too, even if you fixed it. Sometimes I think we trick ourselves into calling burnout "being chill" when really we're just running on fumes.
