Hit 1000 hours of cuts this week and it got me thinking about quality vs speed
I just crossed 1000 hours of client cuts since I started 2 years ago, but I'm wondering if taking under 30 minutes per haircut actually gives better results or just turns people into assembly line stylists - has anyone else hit a milestone that made them question their whole approach?

My buddy Mike swore by 15 minute cuts for years, but when I timed him he was missing all the little details like neckline cleanup and fading... Watching him work made me realize speed doesn't mean quality, it just means you're rushing through the important parts. I still aim for 30 minutes on a good day but I won't rush past a messy line just to beat a clock anymore.

For 15 minutes you're basically just giving them a haircut-shaped haircut.
