PSA: My color bowls finally quit looking like a crime scene
For about two years I mixed color with whatever paddle was closest and my bowls always looked like a rainbow exploded in them. Last November a girl at the shop in Fresno handed me one of those silicone spatulas and I figured it was no big deal, but the color slides right off and my tint bowls come clean in like 20 seconds. I also quit mixing by eyeballing the developer and now I use a kitchen scale for every bowl, which cut my guesswork way down. My client with the grey coverage stopped needing a second pass on her roots after I got more exact with my ratios. It is a small thing but it makes my station feel way less messy at the end of the day. What is the one little habit that made your color station feel under control?
