Unpopular opinion: a client saying my blowouts smelled "like a campfire" was the best thing to happen to my station
I had been using this grapefruit scented heat protectant on every blowout for about 8 months until a regular in Oak Park sniffed her hair and asked why it smelled like a campfire. Turns out the product was old and had gone off from sitting near my hot tools, and she was smelling burnt product, not my technique. Now I check my expiry dates and keep the sprays in a drawer away from heat, but I want to know, how often do you all go through your product shelf and actually toss the old stuff?
