Question about using old bedsheets as weed barrier instead of buying fabric
I tried laying down old cotton sheets under my garden mulch last spring in Springfield to suppress weeds, and while it held up for about 6 months, now it's starting to rot and snag - is the organic breakdown actually good for the soil long-term or should I just use the black plastic stuff everyone else recommends?

Six months is about how long my gym membership lasted before I realized the same pattern.
