Hit 100 hours in Ultimate Chicken Horse last night with my buddy

We've been playing this dumb platformer for like 2 years now and I just noticed our play time hit triple digits. It's wild because we usually bounce between games like Nobody Saves the World or TMNT Shredder's Revenge but this one keeps pulling us back. We literally spent 3 hours just building death traps on the same forest level and laughing our heads off. There's something about watching a round go perfectly where everyone crosses together after 20 tries that hits different. Has anyone else's couch game just snuck up on you with the hours like that?

Man those 100 hour couch co-op games really do sneak up on you. My brother and I had the same thing happen with Overcooked where we just kept coming back for one more run and suddenly we were at 150 hours without really noticing. Ultimate Chicken Horse is one of those rare games where the fun is literally in failing together because you keep trying to one-up each other with the traps. I've seen the same forest level cause friendships to end temporarily but then everyone laughs it off five minutes later. That feeling of finally crossing after 20 tries is what keeps us coming back too, its like a shared victory that means more because of the struggle. Your mileage may vary but I think the best couch games are the ones where the laughs matter more than actually winning.

100 hours is rookie numbers compared to how long I've spent respawning on the same stupid spike trap I built myself. My gaming buddies still remind me about the time I accidentally locked us all out of the finish line with my own wall placement.
