My buddy called out my terrible screen looking habit in Castle Crashers

Was playing through Castle Crashers with my friend Dave last weekend and he kept yelling at me for staring at my own character the whole time. I didnt even realize I was doing it. He pointed out that I was missing half the enemies coming from the sides because I was glued to my guy. So I forced myself to watch the edges of the screen instead and suddenly I was blocking way more hits and finding food drops I never saw before. It sounds dumb but I went from dying every level to barely taking damage. Dave said its like driving a car you gotta look where you want to go not right in front of you. Anyone else have a friend call out a habit that totally changed how you play?

Think people need to chill out honestly. It's a game, not a job interview or something. Nobody's scouting you for a pro team in Mario Kart or Fall Guys. Getting that sweaty over something meant to be fun just sucks the joy out of it for everyone. Yeah it's annoying when someone takes it too seriously, but at the end of the day you can just leave the lobby or find a different game. Not worth getting worked up over random strangers online who probably need a hobby besides winning at virtual dodgeball.
