My buddy's 8-year-old called out my winrate padding habit

We were grinding through Cuphead on the couch last Friday and his kid said 'you keep picking the same easy character so you don't die first.' Ouch. I realized I was min-maxing fun out of co-op just to look good on the stats screen. Now I randomize who picks first and we trade controllers every other level. It's way more chaotic but we finally beat the dragon boss together. Has anyone else had to ditch their comfort pick for the sake of the group?

Ngl that kid read you like a book, that's hilarious. Same thing happened with my little bro and Mario Kart, I always grabbed my main and he finally called me out for being a tryhard, so now we randomize every race and it's way more fun even when I get stuck with the slow kart.
