My couch crew of 11 years fell apart at a cabin in Bend over one game of Overcooked
We rented a place near the river for a weekend and two friendships almost ended over who kept dropping onions in the water. Now I check how a game handles losing before I bring it to the group, so what co-op titles out there let you fail without someone getting mad at you?
That cabin setup sounds like a pressure cooker with no release valve. My group of 6 had a similar blowup on Moving Out, where one guy refused to carry the couch through the door and we failed the same level 14 times. The weird part is that games with unlimited retries or no timer tend to calm people down, but the ones with star ratings or speed scores still get someone yelling. Did your crew ever try something like Stardew co-op where losing basically does not exist, or did they need a real challenge to stay hooked? I am curious if the anger came from the failing itself or from feeling like they had no control over your mistakes.
