Blew $300 on a fancy wireless remote system that never worked right

Back in 2018 I bought one of those aftermarket wireless remote kits for my Grove crane. Thought it would save time on solo pick jobs. Ended up spending more time troubleshooting dropped signals and dead zones than actually operating. The thing would cut out if I walked behind a steel beam or got more than 40 feet away. Lost a whole afternoon on a site in Seattle because it locked up mid-swing and I had to climb down to reset it manually. Tossed it in the trash after 3 months and went back to my hardwired unit. Any of you guys had luck with wireless rigs that actually hold up on a real job site?

Gotta disagree with you there man. My HBC unit from 2016 has been through hell and still never drops a signal, even on nasty steel frame jobs. Think you just got a dud brand.

That locking up mid-swing would've been the last straw for me too.
