Picked a grove RT over a liebherr for a tight city lift, zero regrets so far
Had a job last month in downtown Austin where the street was barely 20 feet wide and the building next door was all glass. My foreman wanted the big liebherr for the weight, but I pushed for the grove RT because of the smaller footprint and better jib control in that cramped spot. He said 'youre gonna wish you had the reach' but I already had the load chart memorized so I knew it was safe. We got it done in 6 hours flat, no close calls. The swing was way nicer when I had to thread the hook between two AC units. Anyone else ever argue with a foreman over machine size and win?

That whole thing about threading the hook between AC units is exactly why the smaller machine made sense, tight spots are where the swing really shows. A bigger rig might have the chart on paper but it doesn't help when you can't even set up without tagging the glass next door. Foreman usually come around once they see it done clean in one shift.
