Is it worse to have a weak password or to reuse one across everything? A coworker at the office last week told me he uses the same password for his banking, email, and Netflix because he's afraid of forgetting them.

I tried to explain password managers to him but he said they're too complicated. I get the fear of forgetting stuff but man, if one site gets breached he's cooked. On the other hand, a super simple password that's unique for each site is still weak. Which do you think is the bigger risk day to day?

Oh man, that's a tough one. I'd say reusing the same password everywhere is way worse because it turns a single slip up into a total disaster if one site gets hacked. Weak passwords are bad too but at least if each site has its own crappy password you're only losing one account at a time.

Oh for real @simonl86? I'd rather have a strong password that I reuse than a bunch of weak ones. At least if my one strong password gets leaked I can change it fast. Weak passwords are like leaving your front door unlocked - someone's gonna walk right in eventually.
