PSA: I stopped using a password manager for a week and it was a disaster

I was setting up a new laptop in my home office last Tuesday and decided to go old school, trying to remember all my passwords instead of using my manager. I got locked out of my bank account after 3 wrong guesses and had to spend 45 minutes on the phone with support to reset everything. Does anyone actually think memorizing passwords is more secure than using a properly secured manager?

Yeah, I tried that once after reading some paranoid blog post. Lasted two days before I gave up and went back to Bitwarden. The real kicker was my work email, I completely blanked on the password and missed an important deadline. What password manager do you use now?

Consider writing down your master password somewhere safe instead of trusting memory alone.
