Burned $60 on those foam ear tips everyone hypes

I saw all the buzz about foam tips for better isolation so I grabbed a pack of Comply ones at Best Buy for $60. They killed the bass on my ATH-M50x and felt like stuffing marshmallows in my ears after 20 minutes. Anyone else find silicone tips just work better for certain headphones?

Yeah the "marshmallows in your ears" thing is too real lol. I fell for the same hype with Comply tips on my Shures and the bass just disappeared, like completely gone. Silicone gives way better seal for me especially on the M50x since those pads are already pretty isolating on their own. Foam tips are a scam for certain headphones, they only work if you have weird shaped ear canals or something. Save your money and stick with the stock silicone or grab some Spinfit ones for like $15, way better value.

@spencer_sanchez67 I tried foam tips once on some cheap earbuds and spent ten minutes trying not to sneeze, felt like a goofball.
