Frustrated with color shifts in my digital art exports

Honestly, I spent hours on a piece for an online showcase. Tbh, when I exported it, the colors looked totally different on other devices. I found out my color profile was set wrong compared to my monitor. Now my art looks washed out and it's really annoying. This has happened with a couple of my projects now. I feel like I can't rely on my software anymore. Ngl, it has me thinking about stopping to share my art online.

Open your file all proud, then watch your perfect neon green turn into puke brown on your phone. It's like your art software is playing a cruel prank just when you're about to post. You go from feeling like a pro to wondering if you forgot how to see color. My last piece had a vibrant purple that decided to become a sad gray everywhere else, which was just fantastic.

Calibrating my monitor was a game changer, and switching the export setting to sRGB fixed so many issues. My prints used to come out super muddy until I learned about color spaces. Now I double check that profile before saving any final piece. It feels way more reliable seeing colors stay true on phones and other screens.

Yeah that "double check the profile" step is key. I've lost count of how many times I've rushed and skipped it, only to ruin a piece. It's the boring stuff that saves you.
