Ugh, I totally disagree with your sister... perfect is the whole point of digital art. That clean, flawless look is what makes it cool and different from a messy painting. If you wanted something rough you'd just use real paint, right? Chasing some fake idea of "imperfection" just seems like trying too hard.

But it's just art, not a life or death thing. If you like it clean, keep it clean. If you want some texture, add a brush that smudges. Overthinking it kills the fun.
