The day my backup plan saved everything in Chiang Mai

Last Tuesday, the power went out for eight hours straight in my neighborhood, which meant my apartment's wifi died. I had a client call at 2 PM that I couldn't miss. I remembered I'd bought a local 4G pocket router a month ago on a whim, loaded it with 20GB of data, and kept it charged. I grabbed my laptop, walked to a park, and took the call from a bench. It made me realize that my real 'office' is just a charged battery and a data connection. What's your go-to backup when the local infrastructure lets you down?

That's a solid move with the pocket router. Honestly my backup is just a cafe with good coffee and a power outlet, idk. Kind of a simple fix but it works.

Right? The cafe backup plan is a lifesaver. I've spent whole afternoons working from a corner table with one outlet.

My old truck has a power inverter for my tools.
