inRant: Why I finally stopped using oil on air tools
Is it weird how that same principle shows up in so many other things? I mean, my grandpa used to tell me the same thing about seasoning cast iron skillets - you don't need to drown them in oil, just a light wipe and let it build up naturally. Same with my bicycle chain, I used to lube it every week until a mechanic told me I was just making a paste out of road grit. It's like there's this whole category of unspoken wisdom where less is actually more, but nobody tells you until you've already been doing it wrong for years.

inI finally hit 95% accuracy on my image generator after 47 tries - but I think benchmarks are lying to us

inHot take: Password managers are great but browser saved passwords still have a place
My friend Dave had Chrome saved passwords for years until his kid brother got on his phone and ordered $200 worth of stuff off Amazon with one click. He didn't even realize until the packages started showing up. Now he does the same thing you do - random sites get the browser, but anything with a credit card attached goes into Bitwarden. That line about "would losing this account suck?" is exactly how I decide too.

inHad to pick between getting my cosmetology license in a salon or at a school and I'm still not sure I made the right call
Huh, that's a good point about the basics though. I bet a lot of those apprenticeship grads are great at trendy stuff but freeze up when an old lady walks in wanting a classic perm or something. The mannequin grind might pay off in the long run in a different way.

inDebate: Should we fix an old framing nailer or just buy a new one?
I read somewhere that a lot of times the main body on these older nailers gets worn out around where the seals sit, so even new o-rings won't fix the air leak. You could be chasing that problem for ages. I'd probably go with the new tool and just keep the old one for spare parts.
