Hit 200 consecutive days of meal prep last Tuesday, didn't even notice until I checked my calendar

I was just counting how many times I'd made my go-to black bean and rice bowls and realized I hadn't ordered takeout in over six months. Anyone else lose track of their cooking streaks until the numbers get weirdly high?

Dang, 200 days is wild. I had a similar moment last fall when I realized I'd been making the same lentil soup every Sunday for like four months straight, just tweaking the spices a little each time. It wasn't until my coworker asked what I did for lunch that I counted back and saw I hadn't eaten out since August. Something about getting into that groove makes the numbers sneak up on you, you know?

200 days is actually crazy impressive. That groove you mentioned is real though, once you hit like week 3 it just becomes part of your routine and you stop thinking about it. I had a similar thing with breakfast tacos last year, made them every morning for 8 months until my brother pointed it out. The mental shift is wild too, suddenly getting delivery feels like a waste instead of a treat.

Guess that's one way to save money on takeout. Pretty soon you'll have enough for a down payment on a house just from not ordering burritos.
