My rice cooker has a mark inside for water level and I never noticed

After two years of guessing and ending up with mushy rice, I finally saw the little line inside the pot last Tuesday. Anyone else miss the most obvious features on their tools for way too long?

@henderson.mila most rice cookers have them actually, even cheap ones. i think we just get in such a hurry setting things up that we miss the obvious stuff. this happens to me all the time with random appliances. like i had a toaster for three years before noticing the defrost button was a separate thing from the regular settings. once you see it you cant unsee it, but before that you just go through life half blind i guess. its kind of wild how much we overlook when we assume we already know how something works.
