Vent: Bought a fancy dish rack that was a total waste of $45
I got sick of my old plastic dish rack getting gross and moldy, so I went online and dropped $45 on this bamboo one with a built-in utensil holder. Looked real nice in the pictures. Got it in the mail, set it up, and within three days the wood started splitting right where the silverware sits. Water just pooled in the corners and it warped bad. Now I'm stuck with a smelly, cracked rack that I can't even return because I tossed the box. Anyone else fall for one of these trendy wooden racks that just fall apart?

Three days? Three days and it split on you? I'm honestly sitting here shocked that a bamboo rack fell apart that fast. I mean bamboo is supposed to be this super strong, eco-friendly material that lasts forever, right? Maybe they just glued together a bunch of scraps and called it premium. I'd be furious about the $45 too, especially since you can't even send it back now.

Oh man, this is one of those things I used to totally defend. I was all about bamboo for everything in the kitchen, thought it was this miracle material. Then I bought a bamboo cutting board that was supposed to be "premium" and it split down the middle after like a month. I learned the hard way that a lot of these bamboo items are just cheaply made with thin strips and bad glue, not the solid stuff that lasts. Sorry yours went so fast though, that stings way worse.
