Found out my grandma's old thimble holder makes a perfect tiny succulent pot
I was digging through a box of her old sewing stuff last weekend and realized this little ceramic thimble holder has drainage holes already drilled in the bottom. I put a small succulent in it and it fits perfectly on my desk next to the monitor. Has anyone else repurposed weird vintage sewing stuff for desk decor?

Hated the idea of repurposing sentimental items till I saw how cute yours looks, might try it now.

Wait, you're saying you actually hated the idea before? That's wild to me because I've been trying to convince people to do this for years. Like, my grandma's old quilt was falling apart and I turned it into pillow covers for my couch. Now every time I see them it reminds me of her but it's actually functional and not just taking up space in a closet. I never would've thought to do it if someone hadn't shown me a picture first.
