I finally looked close at my monitor stand at work last week

My coworker Jen pointed out that my whole desk setup was just stuff I bought without thinking about what I actually needed day to day. She said 'you just grabbed whatever was on the shelf' and she was right. Has anyone else stepped back and realized their desk decor is just random impulse buys instead of things that help you work better?

Uh, desks are for working not decorating though.

Totally agree @hugow30, my desk got so cluttered I couldn't even find my mouse.
