That reminds me of how everyone has an opinion on how you should raise your pets, kids, or even plants these days. It's like people think there's one right way to do everything, and anything else is wrong. Store-bought toys are fine, my dog loves her squeaky duck from the grocery store more than the fancy ones I've bought online. Have you noticed how much pressure there is to be 'perfect' at everything now, even just owning a pet?

Used to roll my eyes at my friend who'd chew out anyone for giving her cat a cheap toy instead of some handcrafted organic wool mouse. Thought she was being precious about it. But then I spent forty bucks on a "premium interactive puzzle feeder" for my cat and the little monster ignored it completely. Now she spends all day chasing the plastic ring from a milk jug around the kitchen floor. Sort of killed my whole "you need the good stuff" attitude.
