Just realized I was flying with my camera angle all wrong for months

I kept crashing on tight turns and thought my rates were just too high, but then a guy at the local park pointed out my lens was tilted up like 20 degrees. Turns out I had the camera angle set for freestyle, not racing, and it was messing up my depth perception on gates. Anyone else find out they were using the wrong setup for their flying style after a random tip from a stranger?

Disagree honestly, I run my cam tilted up way higher than most people for racing and it works fine for me. You just gotta get used to seeing more sky and less ground, then your brain learns to compensate. Sounds more like you were just fighting bad muscle memory than the camera angle being wrong.

Honestly that tracks, I did the same thing with my goggles. Spent weeks blaming my throttle control before realizing my cam was pitched for cruising, so I just lowered it and my brain finally stopped panicking on every gap.
