My drywall anchor fail taught me that not all wall fasteners are created equal.
I grabbed whatever screw was handy for hanging a mirror, but when it pulled out and took a chunk of sheetrock with it, I learned to match the hardware to the load.

Those plastic ones always strip out... you need the metal toggle kind.

Skimping on anchors is asking for trouble, learned that the hard way. My bathroom mirror crashed because I used the wrong screw for a plastic anchor. @hernandez.barbara has the right idea with metal toggles for heavier items.
