Spent 3 hours patching drywall in my hallway and forgot to check the light angle now every patch glows like a treasure map at sunset

Had a dimmer switch on and didn't notice until I walked in with the overhead light on full blast has anyone else accidentally created a spotlit disaster with their joint compound?

Actually that subtle glow can make your hallway look intentionally artistic rather than poorly repaired.

My buddy Mark did the exact same thing in his place last year and it turned out way better than he expected! @paige_martin you're totally right about that intentional look. He actually bought a cheap set of LED strip lights from Amazon for like fifteen bucks and put them along the baseboard. Now everyone who comes over asks where he got the cool mood lighting in his hallway. Sometimes the best home stuff comes from happy accidents like that.
