Discovered a weird trick to stop my dog from eating grass at the park
Last month at Riverside Dog Park, my golden retriever Milo started chowing down on grass like it was a gourmet meal. I tried everything to get him to stop, but he kept at it until he threw up every time. Then a guy named Dave who brings his border collie there every morning told me to bring a frozen carrot stick. He said dogs eat grass when their stomachs feel off or they're bored, and the cold carrot gives them something better to do. I tried it last Tuesday and Milo ignored the grass completely for a whole 20 minutes. Now I just keep a bag of baby carrots in my coat pocket whenever we go. Has anyone else found a weird snack that works better than treats at the park?

Ha! That's genius. My lab does the same thing with ice cubes.

Dave sounds like the kind of guy who has a solution for everything that involves a border collie and a bag of frozen vegetables. Guess I need to start carrying carrots around like a human vending machine.
