I finally stopped bringing treats to the dog park after 3 years

Used to think I was helping by handing out biscuits to every pup, but last week a golden retriever got possessive over me and snapped at a corgi. Now I just bring a water bowl and keep my hands in my pockets. Anyone else change their park routine after a specific incident?

Man, I feel this in my soul. I used to be the guy with the squeaky tennis balls and thought I was some kind of dog park hero, until a husky tried to claim my jacket as its personal nest. Now I just stand there with my hands in my pockets like a weirdo watching my dog sniff a bush for ten minutes.

Just keep my hands in my pockets" lmao that's basically me now. I used to bring those stinky chewy sticks and had this one lab mix start guarding me like I was a treasure chest lol. Now I just stand there awkwardly scrolling my phone while my dog does his business.
