Finally compared manual drafting to AutoCAD for a complex floor plan
Had to draw up a 3,200 sq ft commercial layout last week and did half by hand, half in AutoCAD just to see. Hand drafting took me 6 hours just for the basics, but AutoCAD did the same work in under 2 hours with way fewer eraser marks. Anyone else find that AutoCAD saves time but kills the satisfaction of a clean hand-drawn sheet?

The hand-drawn ones look prettier but my back prefers the chair.

The hand-drawn ones look prettier" is exactly how I feel, but then I remember the time I spent half an hour inking a single wall only to realize it was 3 inches off. My cat walked across the paper right after that and I just decided it was a sign.
