Same thing happens with cooking - moving your salt bowl next to the stove or keeping your most used spices on a magnetic strip saves seconds every time you reach for them, and over a month that's real time saved. Or in the shop, a cheap magnetic dish for screws instead of picking them up off the floor constantly. People overlook the small friction points because they don't seem like a big deal on their own, but they're the ones that wear you down over the course of a day.
