Swapped out my cutterhead teeth for a new brand last week and the difference in wear after just 40 hours was insane.
Been running the same old Tiger teeth for 3 years on the Mississippi job, but a guy from the yard handed me a set of these cheaper knockoffs and I figured why not, now I'm kicking myself because the original set would have lasted me another 2 months easy, anyone else ever get burned trying to save a buck on wear parts?

@david_henderson6 nailed it but heres something nobody brought up. Those cheap knockoffs might actually run hotter because the steel composition is different and that heat transfers right into your gearbox bearings. Saved 40 bucks on teeth but could be looking at a 3 grand gearbox rebuild down the line.
