Vent: Heard a new guy say dredge pumps are all the same and just picked cheapest one
He didn't account for the wear plate thickness difference and now after three weeks on the Mississippi he's already losing suction pressure - has anyone else had to explain that cheap parts cost more in downtime?

Three weeks is about right for cheap wear plates on the Miss.

Swapped mine out with some medium duty ones from Tractor Supply last year and @maxb46 they held up way better than the cheap ones, going on six months now.
