inTried to make a 'cat screaming in a box' meme and the photo came out looking like my cat was having a existential crisis
Honestly that "existential crisis" line got me because my buddy tried something similar with his cat last month. He set up this whole elaborate thing with a cardboard box and some treats thinking he'd get a funny meme shot. The cat just sat there staring into the void with this blank look on its face for like ten minutes straight. He sent me the photos and I swear the cat looked like it was questioning all its life choices up to that point. He ended up using a completely different picture where the cat was just sleeping in the box and that one actually worked better. Sometimes the universe really wants your cat to look philosophical instead of funny I guess.

inSerious question about using magnets on alarm contacts
Yeah that tamper thing is a pain. Had the exact same issue with a recessed contact on a storage door. Ran fine for about five minutes then the panel started chirping like crazy. Figured the sensor was doing some kind of continuity check or something. Must be a common feature on newer panels. Heard some models actually pulse a tiny voltage to verify the loop is intact. The magnet trick fools the switch but the panel notices something isn't right. Pretty slick how they caught onto it though. Guess the manufacturers wised up.

inI finally found a torque wrench that actually clicks consistently after 3 cheap ones failed me
That Snap-on find was a score @jason112, I'd be bragging about that for years. My own experience with budget torque wrenches on aircraft hardware was a nightmare. Had a brand new Pittsburgh one from Harbor Freight that was 10 ft-lbs off on a prop bolt after just 6 uses. I only use beam style or old name brand stuff for anything critical now. Cheap tools just aren't worth the risk when a failure means a crash.
