Just realized I'm the only one who doesn't stack windows side by side on dual monitors

I tried the typical left-right split for six months and kept losing my train of thought, so now I keep one monitor full screen for my main work and the other for random reference tabs, and I get way more done.

Starting fresh with just one main screen and the other as a dumping ground makes total sense to me. Did you ever try a vertical stack instead of side by side, or was it just not for you from the start?

Vertical stack just never clicked for me. Tried it once on a friend's setup and felt like I was looking up and down a lot. Gave me a weird neck thing. Side by side feels more natural. Like looking left and right. My eyes don't have to fight gravity or whatever. But I get why some people like vertical. Especially for coding or reading long stuff. Just not my jam. Glad the fresh start approach makes sense to you though. Sometimes you just gotta wipe it all and begin again.
