Went from hating to loving the new KONE EcoDisc motor after a year on a retrofit job in Phoenix.
The power draw was 30% lower on our meters after the first full summer, which completely sold me. Anyone else have a piece of gear you were wrong about?

No way, that's a huge drop. I mean, 30% is actually insane for a retrofit. Did you have to fight with the building owner or anyone else to get them to go for it at first? I feel like new tech is always a tough sell even when the numbers are good.

Wait, 30% lower? I'd want to see those numbers again after a second summer before calling it a total win. Retrofits can have weird honeymoon periods where everything seems perfect until a heatwave hits. One good season doesn't always mean the thing is bulletproof long term.
