Just realized that skipping the steam step can make extractions easier
I always thought steam was essential for opening pores, but with some clients, it causes more harm than good. For sensitive skin, I now go straight from cleansing to extractions with a light oil. Their skin stays calmer and heals faster. It's been a big change in how I work.

Wait what?! Someone actually found a product that works for them? I'm shocked. My skin freaks out over everything, even stuff labeled for sensitive skin. Last week I tried that gentle oat cleanser everyone loves and my face turned red like I used a bread soap. How does anyone find something that doesn't burn or make them itchy?

Yeah, I get that completely. Some skin just can't handle the heat and it makes everything more angry and puffy. It makes total sense to skip it. I feel for @anna165 too, because that's exactly how my skin used to be. Finding one single thing that doesn't cause a flare up feels like winning the lottery. It's so frustrating when even the gentlest products backfire.
