My friend's mix-up with my facial steamer at a BBQ
We were grilling and he saw my kit, thought the steamer was for keeping burgers warm. I had to tell him it's for skincare, not food, lmao. The look on his face was pure gold.

Feel your pain on a deep level because my cousin once grabbed my fancy moisturizer thinking it was mayonnaise for his fries. The panic when I had to yell across the room still haunts me. These mix-ups are way too common and it's always the expensive stuff that almost gets ruined. You really do have to treat skincare like a biohazard zone when food is around. Glad you caught it in time, those burgers would have had a weird glow.

Sharpie labels seem like a good idea until you have to scrub them off glass bottles. In my experience, keeping things totally separate works better than warnings. A friend's kid still tried to drink nail polish remover that was clearly marked with skull stickers. Sometimes the only real fix is putting your stuff in a locked cabinet, which is a pain but worth it.

Label your skincare gear with a sharpie right on the bottle. I started doing this after my buddy almost used my glycolic acid toner as hot sauce, seriously. Keep your bathroom bag in a different spot than the food stuff when you're out. Grab some cheap stickers from the dollar store for an extra clear warning.
