I gave my usual 'perfectionist' answer, and the guy just stared at me. He said, 'Look, I need someone who can admit a real mistake and tell me how they fixed it, not a robot.' It hit me that I was trying to look flawless instead of honest. Has anyone else had an interview where being real actually helped you get the job?
