Hot take: Is it better to restart your router every night or just leave it on?
My internet dropped during a Zoom meeting in my home office last Tuesday, and I had to cold restart everything. Now I'm wondering if I should schedule nightly reboots or just let the router run until it crashes again. My TP-Link router has been stable for about 10 days now, but I'm paranoid about another disconnect. What do you guys do for regular maintenance on your home network?

@markm27 has a point, a nightly reboot is way overkill for a router that's been fine for 10 days. Let it ride until it acts up again.

Honestly, I gotta push back here. Why would you schedule nightly reboots? That seems like a lot of hassle for something that's been stable for 10 days already. Your TP-Link router ain't a phone or computer that needs a bedtime routine. If it's working fine, just leave it be. Most electronics handle constant power better than getting shut off and turned back on every single day. That cold restart you had to do? That's normal for a rare glitch, not an every night thing. I'd say let it run until it actually gives you problems again, which might not even happen for months.
