Warning: My attempt to fix a wobbly bar stool turned into a glue-covered mess.

Last week, I tried to tighten the legs on my kitchen stool, but the whole thing came apart in my hands, and I accidentally used way too much wood glue. My dog walked through the puddle and left tiny glue footprints all over the linoleum. What's the best way to get dried wood glue off a floor without wrecking it?

Your dog is basically a tiny crime scene investigator now, leaving glue evidence trails. Classic DIY move, turning a simple fix into a full blown arts and crafts disaster. Try a plastic scraper first, then maybe a little warm soapy water on a rag. If it's really stuck, a tiny bit of acetone on a cotton ball but test it somewhere hidden first.

What if the glue trail is part of the charm though? I kinda like the messy story it tells.

And honestly, the glue says something about the process - like, you actually cared enough to try and fix it instead of just tossing the whole thing. Plus, every time you see that little smudge or trail it reminds you of the story behind it, which is way more interesting than some perfect store-bought job. It's like that little crack in your favorite coffee mug that you remember chipping, you know what I mean?
