The day a cat decided to 'help' with a glue-down vinyl job

I was installing a big sheet vinyl floor in a kitchen in Springfield last Tuesday, had the adhesive spread and the sheet halfway down. The homeowner's cat, a big orange tabby named Gus, walked right across the wet glue and then onto the fresh vinyl, leaving a perfect trail of paw prints. I had to stop, clean his feet, and then carefully lift and re-roll a whole section while he just sat there watching. Anyone else have a pet completely derail a job at the worst possible moment?

Tbh that "trail of paw prints" thing is too real. My buddy had a dog jump into a fresh concrete patio stamp job once. Left a whole set of prints right in the middle, looked like some weird fossil.

Actually, concrete stamping uses a pattern tool on the surface, it's not like pouring a smooth slab. The prints would have messed up the stamped texture, not left a clean fossil look in flat concrete.
